  • Delta is executing very well on delivering the promise of safe, efficient & comfortable to customers.
  • United Continental just updated investor guidance that their costs have increased 11.4% to 12.4% year on year, as well as a first qtr loss of .90 to a buck fifty a share. Once US Air / American gets rolling my guess is their costs will increase by more than UCAL's. Richard Anderson's statement that we have a significant lead on the industry is starting to resonate true with the data.
  • US Oil production looks to be on a positive trend. Supply, as well as being able to manage the crack spread better than anyone else, is our friend. Articles are starting to point out the price levels the middle east suppliers have to have to remain cash flow positive. Could it be decreasing oil prices could help us not only reduce costs, but also help us by reducing subsidies to State run airlines?

You have to subscribe to read the whole story but its relevant

Yep...I think the merged AA will be back at the well looking for concessions and threatening bankruptcy 3-5 years after their merger. I genuinely hope I'm wrong, but if not, DALPA (I mean we) have one chance to improve our contract before the downward pressure starts building again.

Buzz,

I have been a die hard Yankees fan since the Bobby Murcer days and I do agree that they are (mostly) old, slow etc, but lets not forget, they went all the way in 2009.

But I can always reminisce about the 1996 when they were down 2-0 in the series and getting their A$$$$s kicked by the Braves again in game 3 but then all of a sudden caught fire and won 12 consecutive World Series games - the last 4 in 1996, Sweep of Padres in 98, and another sweep of the braves in 1999.

So when say that they haven't been evil in years - I agree if you are specifically talking about 4 years.

I do however agree that this will be a tough year for the Pinstripes.

Please tell me you "discussed family economics" with her. I don't care if she looked just like her father ... somehow I imagine it was just like this.

Wall Street not a fan of the March numbers. Quickly down 6% at the open.

Delta Air Lines (DAL) reports in a SEC filing (8-K) that unit revenues in March rose 2% Y/Y with gains from trans-Atlantic and Latin units partially offsetting a soft performance in the Pacific due to a weakening yen. The carrier says the reduction from previous guidance is due to lower close-in bookings. DAL -4.1% premarket.

There's kind of a life lesson in that video. In this day in age of texting, butt calls, inadvertent emails you meant to go to someone else, instant messages where you clicked on the wrong person, etc., learn to use sign language with the recipient standing in front of you.

Excellent!

Actually never met her, heard she was a little on the plump side. But looking over my financial portfolio, I now think she would've been perfect.

Sign language for a BJ? Its never worked for me but...hell why not...maybe I was asking the wrong girls? Well, actually in under your theory I would have to be signing to the wrong girls. Is the the ASL version of a BJ what we all used as kids for it? Not sure but probably a great video or SNL spoof of it somewhere.
