Yikes! Yale just upset Minnesota 9 seconds into OT!

I know a lot of people probably don't care, but that's pretty impressive and I'm bored in my crashpad.

I was just watching that out here on a layover in SF. Crazy! I can't say I'm sorry to see them lose but I kind of wanted UND to play them tomorrow. Go Sioux

My issue with him on the current subject is his claim of exposure to the industry. Big deal!!! Years of experience really do count. I can only say this now that I'm a touch older. I didnt think it mattered when I was a young hot shot Brasilia captain.

The one good thing about age is having the ability to look back and learn from all you've experienced. The old adage of pax wanting a gray haired pilot is a good indicator of experience. Not perfect but good enough.

I would say that 80's claim was a touch more arrogant. Your post though is downright disgraceful. Have some class Purple.

Fair enough... I was trying to spar with him and didn't have solid ground. I'll always admit when I've been bested, and this is one of those cases.

Ane hey, I've got some gray hairs. I grew up not just watching my dad pack and go on trips, but immersing myself in aviation. I listened to stories, asked questions from the various pilots that lived around us, and that is a lot of the reason why I had such a quick run- I listened and learned early.

I still disagree with sailing's premise that because they used to do it that way it is ok.

I doubt that's what did it...

80, your quick ride to the big show is great. I'm actually a bit jealous. Hangar talk was a lot of fun. I'm sure you enjoyed it as much as I. I have a friend who catapulted ahead of me due to family connections and owning her own airplane. She got furloughed. I was lucky to stagnate in the left seat for 7 more years. The young snot nosed know it all rich kids are the ones I can't be bothered with.

Purple, I actually agree with the premise of many of your posts. Unfortunately your delivery promotes hate and disrespect. If I was a mod I'd give you a time out for your latest comment. Your type of inflammatory posts belong on the Dalpa forums. Lets try to keep our local watering gentlemanly. We want people to come here to read our posts and hear our opinions. Your posts make me want to put you on an ignore list.

You're misrepresenting while you attack.

In the Gran Torino analogy things got better when the young and old from two different cultures worked together.

I didn't notice the last line due to the middle sentences as well as posting while feeding a squirming child, so once again.. mea culpa. sailing does get things right every once in a while. It was hardly an attack, anyways. It was just a funny picture due to the "back in my day" cliche.
