Good deal rvr. Thanks again - As I mentioned before I may be eveyone's hero if I bid a 7ER early and not "nab" a ATL, CVG or LAX slot. I honestly think a DFW-JFK commute might be much easier and less stressful than a DFW-ATL one! Lot of those senior DAL folks around here... must be a nest!
What kind of beverage would you like?
I hope those LAX and SLC spots keep comming.

I'll also be willing to provide adult beverages for anyone senior to me in the 17th class who bids to allow me into CVG or ATL.

S2 vs S3
I just booked my first Non-Rev.
How do I use S2, it never asked me?
I'm assuming I'm on an S3 by default.
I'm guessing I can tell the gate agent "S2 me Baby" and then I'll get bumped in front of all the other S3s?
Appriciate the help.

When you check in at the Kiosk it will ask you if you want to use your S2's or not? (Like you said it defaults to S3)
I think the S2's only work for mainline, but I could be wrong. Check out TravelNet and they've got a FAQ section about non-reving.

If you request S2 status on a flight after you have used them up you will be charged a penalty fee.
Fortunately there's enough to do a couple of vacations and have a couple left over for commuting.

You have 6 S-2 flight days per employment year, meaning pretty much you have 3 roundtrip per employment year, counting from your date of hire.
