I agree, to an extent. I would like to see us capture the 70 and above market. I realize that will take a lot, and may not happen in the near term, but it needs to be a goal.
Like I have stated, communicate your desires and it will put many at bay as long as they concede with the majority of the rank and file.
I would love to the this MEC's big picture. They have done many things so very well, that the total lack of communication on scope just does not add up. I personally think that there is a big plan, but the fact is that even if this is true the frustrated ones will try to vote the big thinkers out of office. If it is the case communicate it and once again the group is unified.
If it is not the case, it needs to become the case.

I have truly given up on this MEC and DALPA in general as an enforcer of scope, let alone take it back. I suggest if our group really wants to get serious about this issue then we need to oust the current leadership. The second goal should be is to oust ALPA. Only then will we take anything back. That is certainly my opinion but history supports my view of what Alpa and our current leadership is capable of. We need a group willing to fight for Delta Pilots. Alpa is not getting the job done. I vote for an in-house union or a team of unions representing mainline interest only. This is long past due and it may already be too late.
If there was any big plan the MEC has then why would our chairman not fight the company with this latest grievance. The LEC reps say they didn't know about this giveaway until after the fact. There should have been an immediate attempt to recall the chairman by the LEC's who say they didn't know. It is obvious to me Scope is not a priority to any in our leadership. There is no hidden agenda. The only thing they are hiding is their spine.

Frustrated, yes, and you'll get there too in a few years unless things change.
That and Camp Creek! Got to know where to park
Okay, I saw this picture and for a second there I could smell deicing fluid. I spent way too many years in CLE and EWR. There are no RJs, true. If there was then remember, as we now know with AA, you'd been a bigger stronger airline that never furloughed at mainline. More Outsourced Mainline Jobs = More Mainline Jobs.
Hey quesiton, on the left side of the picture what are those two aircraft above the 727 tail?

That picture brings back many memories of growing up. I can still smell cinnabon!
Yeah, you're right. I was looking and it just didn't look like the tails housed APUs, but I think I've seen the all silver APU tails for too long on the old DAL paint scheme. You guys painted them and I guess the new paint scheme has them almost completely painted except for the exhaust.
Everyone come to Tribal Council meeting. Hear Big Chief Speak. Learn white men come to take land, farms, cattle. Big Chief say being divided is good so we cause no trouble for white man. Say we like life on reservation. White Man agree to stop at new fencepost. Big Chief say new treaty good, line in sand good, he smoke peace pipe with their President.
Junglebus drum, good drum, beat truth. Fencepost keeps getting moved on to our land. Our buffalo used to run entire plains. We had no fence to keep us from our land.
Medicine Man Bucking Bar say Fence no good. Treaty with White Man is Buffalo Crap, White Man no keep promises. Only way to be strong is to unite the tribes and take back the planes, I mean, plains.

Per USAIR web site it looks like Mar 20,2010 is the last date for CMH-LGA nonstop flights.
Any one have any inside info on why the DAL-N December APA got slipped to the right? I saw the letter explaining it, but was just wondering if there was any "rest of the story" floating around out there.
