That would make me chuckle...how many stays has the 9 had already. It's like a death row inmate getting fat from too many last meals!

Question for anyone in the know......Sailing?

As of March 1st, aren't we already one year away from Contract 2015 opening statements? (e.g. D-ALPA/DAL can exchange opening statements 270 days prior to the amendable date [March 1st, 2014] and the amendable date is Jan. 1st, 2015.)

Has anything been done, or is anything being done to gauge the climate of our pilot group. (i.e. upcoming survey?) Is the company as interested in their "constructive engagement" approach as last time? Can we expect a TA to be passed, and contract signed by next summer, or did the company gain so generously from the fruits of their negotiations last time, that their is no longer any incentive in having a contract in place prior to the amendable date of our current PWA?

Thanks for the informative reply.

GJ

The DC9 reminds me of the old Monty Python, Bring out your Dead:

That would be the best idea, 100% no doubt.

I would expect contract surveys to go out in the fall of 14. Openers in the spring of 15. Tell me the state of the economy at that point and what the SWA contract ends up being if done by then and I will give you a guess on how long ours will take.
This is also a 3 year contract not a 2 year as you posted. The amenable date is 31 Dec 15.

But three years ago I talked to the ATL88A who was on the merger committee about the GS vs 1.5x pay and he said the cost to the company was a wash. He did not say GS improved staffing. I actually posted on this thread what he said but Lord help me finding it.

Actually found it from March 2010...

They must really be about heritage...or keeping it in the family
