Although RA was not in SEA for the meeting, I feel it is not the best idea to share what is meant for DL pilots.
None the less, I was impressed to where we are going and we do have a smart group of guys running things here at DL. I feel lucky. I do not agree with everything because it affects QOL and does not make sense sometimes in my corner of the world. But the big picture is interesting and a good place to be at the moment. We as a pilot group do need to keep an eye on the ball we need to be active participants to better enjoy the ride.
In all good perspective.

I don't think anyone questions we've got great senior leadership at Delta, arguably the best by a mile compared to the rest of the industry.
But like Fig said, that doesn't mean what they want is always the best for us as a group and that's why it's up to us to keep the eye on the ball. After all, they're driving hard to make this airline super productive with what it has and the opportunities that are placed before it. I'm sure they look at us and see opportunities for improved productivity, but at what cost to our QOL? That's what I believe Fig was saying when he said we need to be active participants to better enjoy the ride.

Those items could be good for the company, I suppose, if properly executed.
But none of them gives us pilots more money or more time off.
So I guess I'll just yawn and scratch myself until my QOL and paycheck (i.e., purchasing power) improve.

Looks like we have a big surge of flights going down to SXM and MCO for carnival charters. A330, 764, 763, & 752's. I wish I could find a link to that Motley Fool idiot that said Spirit was going to kick delta's butt because we're too big and "inflexible." Find another airline that can instantly come up with 4000+ seats.
