JG in NRT yesterday went to great lengths to dispel the flt ops statement. The Board decides these things, not flt ops and not RA and there is no decision. In addition crew skeds wants to hire ( and is very worried about retirements and growth and being behind the power curve for YEARS.) but was told no. Doesn't matter what RA wants, the Board pulls the strings.

In recurrent last week, we were told training in march curtailed so we could show the first ever 1st qtr profit. Who is the puppet master?

I think Sailing is well plugged into Flt Ops, maybe not the BOD

BTW for SF there is no FPL involved, just a smart involved kinda guy.

We are only pawns...
uh... that won't help me sleep at night.

So much for "more frequent AE's". The Trim Tab says the next AE is planned for the Aug/Sep time frame.

True story.
I'm OK with this story.

Default Current Advanced Displacement Bid

Does anyone think the M88A in NYC may go junior to the 717A in ATL?

They are scheduled to be replacement jets. If however they plan on 1 for 1 replacements then you would have expected more Captains displacements on the last bit. That gives me some optimism that marketing thinks the routes are available to support keeping more 757's then planned.
I had expected a net gain of 120 Captains positions with the DC9's staying in service for one more bid. We got a net gain of 93 Captains however that includes 115 DC9 Captains slots going away. Thats a lot more Captains then I expected so perhaps they are going to keep some 757's.
