DAL trying to be sneaky. They are working deets of possible 74-400. But need Union to sign off. No way Southy's will allow a bunch of 400's without getting a piece.

$0.02 from Baja.

I'm starting to like this Backdoor stuff.... Adm Mullins forced all armed forces into an era of greater tolerance. I'm just doing my part

There is also the A330 and A321 rumor floating around the airbus fleet. That may just be wishful thinking coming from MSP and DTW.

What sign off do they need for more 747s? Is it the same sign off they needed to add 737s?

I think Baja is implying the 747-400 fence or a relief on 76,82,or 90 seat aircraft for DCI.

My bet is still on A330's and 320's, I will be totally shocked if Dl gets 74's, Boeing would have to subsidize them like crazy. Then again I've been wrong before.

Just so we're all on the same page of the rumor mill - the original CR update said:

"Future bids will primarily contain vacancies to add staffing for additional mainline aircraft deliveries, including the 717, 739 and a potential widebody order as well as backfill openings created by pilot attrition."

And was changed to

"Future bids will primarily contain vacancies to add staffing for additional mainline aircraft deliveries, including the 717 and 739, as well as backfilling openings created by pilot attrition."

I'm impressed - they even cleaned up the grammar.

So give up RJ scope for more 744s? No. Why give up RJ scope for a plane I can't bid?

Drop the fence plus give up RJ scope? No. Why give up RJ scope for a plane I can't hold?

Why would we get 320s when it seems we hardly use the one's we have. Or did I misunderstand that the 320 block hours are down significantly?

Bottom right corner of Pilot Selection page on Deltanet states the following:

We anticipate that hiring will resume in 2013 but no date has been set.

Not sure if this is just old info that has not been updated or a real clue into their intentions.
