DAL will start interviews in Dec-Jan and classes begin in Mar 14. 400-500 hired in 2014. 800 hired in 2015.
The first 20 717s were "funded" with displacements on this A/E. If C/R is correct, and this is the last bid using displ. to fill vacancies, new hires will need to fill the 717s beginning April 14. It appears 68 of the 717s cannot be manned with current staffing and will require 952 additional pilots by the end of 15. Expect 500 pilots to leave through attrition of all types by Dec 15. This results in 1452 newbies required. DAL is currently "overstaffed" by about 150. Expect 50 furloughs to return. That leaves a need for 1252 new hires by Dec 15.
Where do I send my buy-in money??

Never mind, survey fail.
The problem is ftb doesn't drink, that's why he doesn't know who Jeremiah weed is.

We merge with jb and divest JFK, and LGB and obviously BOS... and E190s... Oh and the 320s too since we have new 737s and upgraded MD88/90s.... Oh and after the SLI we'll furlough the Delta side as we liquidate the JB side...
That Cal thread was sad.
We bought all their pile of junk 727's and A-310s and acquired 600 of their pilots and then promptly parked all of their airplanes and furloughed 600 Delta pilots.

I wonder who they have been going to? Many other nations are out buying us in gold by massive percentiles while our future debt interest : GDP ratios are staggeting and getting worse with no end in sight and many other nations signaling the end of the reserve currency spending gravy train.
I could see that. Good on them too. Its nuts to be all paper (no matter how "divirsified" that paper may be) with all that's going on and on the horizon.
And from Free Mason:
I know the Church of the LDS has been buying gold from South America for a long time.
Looks like Germany may be joining the party by bringing some of their's home.
