Someone sent me the 22.D.3 report for August of 2011 and when you take those hard numbers with the one for March 2014 and compare this is what you come up with:

it is what it is.

If you have a hard time seeing it use CTRL+ to zoom in and CTRL- to zoom back.

It is clear, to me, that they are going to buy a pilot group to get the new pilots. To say we are going to hire 8000 pilots is just not feasible in our training department.

SM,

This is not an issue. Stand alone DAL hired more than 800 a year in 1999/2000. We contracted for simulator times in various places. Also I think DGS guys can actually conduct more training than in the past further increasing training capacity.

There may be specific choke-points and limitations (717 Sim time etc) but as far as overall training capacity I don't see a problem.

Throw in the NW simulator capacity and I don't think it will be very hard. It may take some time to initially ramp up but once it gets going - no sweat.

It's not hard to believe. We've been overstaffed since the merger.

I'm about 90% on having the door closed before we get our D+7 msg...often times several minutes ahead of that. The last shred of common sense for gate agents had been eliminated with that memo. They won't even come down and open the door for revenue pax much less non revs.

Two weeks ago on (what I think was the last flight to this station) we are all closed up and calling for push about D-3. And that's when I noticed two people waving frantically at me from the gatehouse. and we pushed with them still waving.

They're probably still waving.

Sounds identical to the hyd pump on the 88. Now if they forget to turn it on, then you get "sawing" noise of the PTU!
