He's talking about private jets not homes. Can you deduct the interest on your car? Why should Tiger get to deduct on his toy jet?

Long time Rush fan here...I saw them live last year in Dallas for the first time... Disappointed. Geddy's singing was pretty bad. My wife complains about me singing at church, he wasn't much better. BUT Neil - that Mofo can play some drums. Big long drum solo on the jumbotron from overhead. It was just amazing. He's got a massive drumset and uses every piece...WOW. Still love recorded Rush and have every CD except the new one.

Who says he is deducting or depreciating his aircraft? I have no idea so won't make assumptions, however, if it's a business tool, why not?

Dividends typically come from stock ownership. if you own stock you own part of the company. The company pays taxes on its profits, and dividends are some of those profits that have already been taxed. You're paying way more than 15%. You're just looking at the side of it that shows up on your 1099. It's more than fair, no matter how Warren wants to paint it to get his back scratched.

That money that you put to work was already taxed. It is double taxation what you described. Do you get 15% of your money back when you lose in the market? We pay enough in taxes to an overbloated government bureaucracy. scambo is much closer to the right track.

If you feel guilty about the money you make, give it to a charity that will actually do some good. Don't voluntarily feed the massive and growing cancer that is eating away at the US.

You can only deduct if it is a business tool, and for tiger woods if he uses it to fly to tournaments it is. You can only deduct when its used for business.

What we have now is cuts to programs that people have paid for and that taxpayers will feel. If you cut programs that people don't pay for, there will be incentive for people to go back to work. If the answer is to keep taking from those who work, there will never be a solution, but instead a deepening problem.

When people can "retire" from the workforce because they choose to use drugs (drug addicts, federally, are defined as disabled) they get paid to stay in a government supplied house, to go to government supplied programs, to eat government supplied food and wear government supplied clothes, recieve government supplied education, etc. They have 24 hours/ day to continue to conduct illicit activities - either further earning illegal money or whatever.

We would be on the right track if we started to do away will all such ridiculous programs.

As far as towers and airport infrastructure, taxes and fees are already on the books. Quit diverting those to non-performing programs and then let's see where we are.
Good post Scambo.

I was being faceeshus. It makes for good dem talking points that Romney pays a lower effective tax rate than his assistant, even though he previously paid taxes on it. Just pandering for votes, but it is effective.

When you are a golf pro, pretty much everything you do is argueably business or business related.
