Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
[quote=slowplay;662226]Which guy, RoughLandings or Moak?
One has a 4 year track record of delivering positive returns (including scope) to Delta pilots. One is a presumed Compass pilot posting under an anonymous pseudonym.
Yep. I am still making less than 4 years ago, my pension is gone and there about 153 more 76 seaters flying around than before. (you know those 76 seaters "our DC9 flying")
Yep. Those are positive returns ok. He is a real hero.

Fact is that there are many things about ALPA that most never think about. The Aeromedical and Legal support for their airman is second to none. You never care about it until you are the ones that needs it. When it comes to your rescue you will swear by it for the rest of your career.

Maybe, but not to the depths that the ALPA back office has. I have worked with these guys and their depth of knowledge is impressive.

Also so you get where I am coming from.
I would not say I am impressed with where this ship is headed. I think that we to use Bar's words need to "Take the Beach", not just draw a line in the sand as it pertains to scope.
Look where our best thinking has gotten us. I do not like it and want to do everything possible to change it. No one man or woman can do that. It takes a group of people that are willing to sit down and think every thing through, poke holes though each others arguments, and as a group come up with a solution.
I am very much for a bottom up association. To achieve this, we need to have leaders that return e-mails in a timely manner, and respond to questions as best at their NDA's allow. A simple we are concerned too, but can not discuss specifics goes a long way to reassuring the rank and file pilots that their leaders are not asleep at the wheel.

You can count on me to try and pick up the little morsels you like to drop.
1.) We've been hearing something about new airframe that would not really effect senior guys, would make junior guys happy, and might result in hiring.
(more slots for newbies to flow down to later if needed/ compass would be the one hiring till then)
2.) There is a lot of controversy over the Shuttle -175's and that they might be headed for Compass.
3.) You mentioned Compass has hired some new instructors recently and they are being warned to get ready to ramp up training.
4.) Now you say instructors are being laid off in STL (perhaps we just bought another sim or they are moving it up to MSP)
5.) We are also hearing Compass is getting kicked out of our MEC. (Maybe they are about to get bigger and Moak thinks it's time for them to start representing themselves...not that I agree)

None of it matters if you finally get the Major airline brass ring and it's sold out from under you and there is no career to protect.

I agree, but I do think that we have some level of responsibility to fix what we as a collective group screwed up!

I feel we can make more ground with this current administration. ALPA PAC is worth donating to. I'm gonna get slammed for saying this, but the last administration REALLY prevented us from making progress in this industry.
