Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Is there any way to cross check how many of those mil leave guys are no longer on the seniority list? I know of at least a few that were on the nbcmil list after the merger who are now completely gone.

I've had two of these events in the last 12 months. One was combat related, the second was a very young SSGT who simply died in his sleep of natural causes, 3 months after getting home from A'stan. CPSC likewise gave me the heads up. I gave it some thought about how to offer all due respect. PM me if you want. The Mil escorts can also give you tips on how to approach. May be your last opportunity to positively (& personally) impact at least one fallen serviceman.

For what it's worth, in January of 2012, 345 were out on NBC MIL.
I've had the honor to bring a fallen soldier home to their final resting place twice (AF jet). Once was to Saipan. Getting ready to check in on the local VHF freq about a 100 miles out and heard them issuing holding instructions to a NWA744, then another aircraft who was #4 in line. I was wondering what was up, until I checked in--"you're #1, call field in site." they had the fire trucks out with the H2O salute on taxi in. Every vehicle on the island with a flashing light had to have been on the ramp. Family was waiting right behind the honor guard. Everyone on the jet was choked up. It really puts our petty gripes in perspective.

Wanna hear something ironic? I flew a C-5 from Guam to Saipan to rescue a busted F-22. A typhoon was approaching and we took ground support equip and maintenance to fix it before the typhoon arrived. Our C-5 got airborne and the F-22 eventually had to be tied down to weather the typhoon. Now back to Everybody Loves DALPA.

Hey for the 88 in ATL, have they increased the flying this year over last year creating more line holders and less reserves? Thus the reason for reserves being utilized?

I thought it was due to lower ALVs. My experience has been that junior line holders could hold lines in the winter but not summer when ALVs go up.
