Hundreds of Mil leave pilots have come back. The March category list shows we are down to 198 Mil leave pilots. It was up over 500 at one time. I don't believe we are shrinking with the addition of the 717's and MD-90's. I don't know what the 739's are going to do to the 75 fleet, other than the ling term plan is to have 80-100 752's in the fleet. I spoke to a fleet guy last week who said that if things start moving in the right direction the 26 75/76 airframes in the desert will be put through their heavy checks. I'm just as frustrated by the lack of movement as anyone else, but I can't just snap my fingers and make everything better.

They are running out of excuses to not get some new warm bodies at mainline.

Items are given up in every contract even the very best. Trades are made. There were lots of changes in reserve. No one posts about the good things. Over the course of my career reserve is the single most improved part of the contract by a big margin. We have progressed from 19 to 20 days on call 24 hours a day with 2 hours to report to the system we have today. It has ebbed back and forth over the years by the overall trend has been hugely positive.

Just received a phone call from CPSC to inform me of a military escort of a fallen soldier on my trip tomorrow. I feel that this was classy upon them to give me a heads up. Now back to your regulary scheduled all Alpa/Delta sucks *****fest.
