You understand that the bond is an ATL airport bond. Delta is only leasing gates in the new terminal, not increasing debt. If the PANY were to offer to do the same for JFK, Delta would be all over it. Instead, the Port Authority likes collecting rent from the dilapidated and fully depreciated Terminals 2 and 3 to fund their operating coffers. They've displayed no interest in financing a new terminal that Delta could lease. Management is working hard to find some alternatives and is lining up political pressure (see the LGA swap Governor and Mayor remarks) to help.

Dude,
Its the desert, stuff doesn't rot in the desert, thats why we put them there.
Maybe Neil Young was right when he said "Its better to burn out, then to fade away."

It's officially over...I would imagine things will carry on as planned.

I think WN getting F9 would have put a wrench in a few things.

I think Bedford knew he would prevail all along though. They have this all worked out.

IMHO it was a good diversionary tacit to keep WN out of the LGA stuff. Worked well, deal got done.

As for scope, I do not think it really matters. RJET already owns MEH so owing F9 will just make all of their inner strife that much stronger.
The will have two national airlines and then Republic, Shuttle America, etc. It looks like a labor relations nightmare to me.

It is a little different when you are dealing with Nationals instead of regionals, which I think Brian Bedford is about to find out.

I am sure that if he needs to get rid of jets, we can take them right after they are returned to IFLC. That way it is a business transaction, and the pilot will not come with em.

Like I have been saying, RJET has it hands in a lot of stuff. I also think that he will be the proud new owner of LCC's 190 fleet in short order.

Now I am sure that WN will do everything in their power to kill F9 and UAUA in DEN. Also, they better be very careful. I am assuming that F9 may be a casualty of this war, and BB knows it. I am sure that this has been all orchestrated. I am sure there are a few more moves to it too!

UAUA, and WN will get killed throwing rocks at each other and F9, all the while DAL will be standing by just waiting for someone to either pass out or bleed out.

This whole "things are going to break and we do not want to be committed to a big training footprint" thing starting to make sense?

Best thing WN could do is act like it never happened.

Hah hah! I got that one the other day, it's hilarious. Too bad you have to bury it in the "daily DAL Twitter feed", but it'll just get removed if it gets it's own post on the main page.
