That medal would be the Afghanistan Campaign Medal. Those drones don't land themselves do they? Doesn't a drone pilot have to be LOS with the drone to take it off and land it? So if they're flying their drone over Afghanistan then a drone pilot is getting the medal; or perhaps they're no longer awarding that medal and going with the Global War On Terrorism medal instead, where I think you don't even have to be within 1000 miles of a terrorist to get. I'm not sure, and really don't care. It's not like I thought my post was going to be treated like a sworn statement at a senate hearing. So here it is, full disclosure: I may have taken some liberties with the established criteria for the awarding of medals with which you apparently have great knowledge and expertise with in an attempt to poke fun at drone crews. Whatever they give you in your vfile when you're in between deployments is one more you have to worry about adding the next time you have to wear, god forbid, the fancy uniform.
Wrong, but please keep posting conjecture and fabricating your opinions into fact. If you have questions about what the Combat Readiness Ribbon/Medal is awarded for, I've included an additional link for your reading pleasure.

What's your point? Everyone in the Air Force gets the longevity ribbon. More reading for you. Why don't you do a little more research before sounding like a buffoon, even on an internet forum.

Wrong again, but it's a good thing the keyboard makes you sound smart. Why don't you go to a Guard/Reserve or Active Duty Pred unit and ask around yourself how much experience some of the guys flying drones have? I'm not going to disclose the Guard/Reserve units that have drones, but to give you a hint, most of them used to be Viper drivers, Francis!

"Actual 772LR price paid by Delta B772 N701DN"
FTB, out of curiosity...what was the actual price?
Not that I minded the underwater shimmy link

Wouldn't surprise me if this were true. It also would not surprise me if they're going to use these as a bargaining chip for our next contract coming up. "We will get these 747's if you let DCI have some e-190's or operate those mitsubishi jets that skywest ordered."

No wait. We're not going to give up anything to get more 747s and you want to know why? They're DTW 747s, DALPA is going to be fenced out and Carl fenced in, no way they give up anything for them.

Well, lets do the math real quick. Supposedly we're not merging with anyone. We might acquire 11 744s because 773s are not at our cheap price point (maybe this airline is run by airline pilots after all? ). That's 330 WB pilots eh? And we are talking about either 737s or A320s and either way, we want the OEM to take 50 seaters off our hands.
So what would we be willing to give up to get all that?

I like the projected retirement date (assumes age 65?) on the Delta seniority list. If I was hired today, I'd retire #3. Dang, sounds attractive! I'd be happy with a bronze finish
