Except a DAL 2010 hire can hold B757/767 FO with the expectation to hold B777/B747 CA. An AS 2010 hire can hold B737 FO with expectation to hold........B737 CA.

But short of a strategically defensive move(like buying AS before AA) I see zero advantage to merging with AS.

I know this is far off topic but...any chance you can change that avatar? It's got a really creepy sense to it. Creepy like child molester creepy.

I would like to marginalize time above 80, not make it more lucrative. I would prefer that we negotiate rates and costs that let all pilots enjoy an acceptable standard of living, at a capped, reasonable number of hours that's likely to result in advancement, longevity, and health for all. In that context, I also want the highest possible multiplier for overtime flying.

The people whining about the GS system dry up the pool of open flying, thereby killing all reasonable chances of true premium flying that circulates through a category. Then they ask to be rewarded for it. They act as if the drying up of GS is the issue, but it is merely a symptom, of which they are the disease.

+777 !!!!!

The last thing we need is 12K Pilots all trying to fly 80+ hours each month.
It cracks me up seeing guys who are junior in category complaining that they don't like the current GS system and want 1.5X over 80 hours.

Be careful what you ask for - if you think stagnation is bad now lets incentivise maximum flying even more.

And just remember every time that an Inverse assignment goes out - the junior guy could have gotten a Greenslip.

speculation. At some point Delta may have to go after AK to protect the feed in the northwest. It would not be a pretty merger for the Delta pilots.

Here is just one item where you are just lying again. The last two bids have had three times more pilots moving to higher paying positions than moved to lower paying positions. So your thesis is incorrect. 25% is more than 1%. Luckily the Delta pilots are too smart to fall for your simple word games. In fact every base that had a rep vote no on this deal all voted in majority for it. These reps couldn't even convince their own pilots. That is how thin their arguments were.

If the Negotiating Committee violated the policy manual then name the section they violated. Or are you just repeating another set of lies? The process was followed, the MEC voted, and you are just playing sour grapes because you lost.

So the 767 domestic category closing is a result of C2012? Is the under-utilization of the 320's also a result of the contract? Or is it because they don't have IFE and network prefers the 73N for longer segments? Would these events still have occurred had we not voted in the contract?

Stagnation sucks! I'm looking forward to finally advancing as much as the next guy. I'm just saying that lashing out at the contract, ALPA or even management may be misplaced.
