I called the PBS help line and it went straight to VM.

If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

If you're junior, keep your bid super simple, 3-4 lines of bidding maximum.

For me, the value of the TA was in the upgauging, and mainline growth. That's where I'm going to ultimately judge the value, or lack thereof, in this agreement. That's the piece of the puzzle that remains dynamic, and worthy of discussion. I knew the pay increases going in, and so did the other Yes voters. But if those payrates start jumping around on their own accord, contrary to the TA numbers, then let's by all means discuss it. Because at that point, it will be news.

Just a quick review of the PBS bidding system...

This is PBS patiently (until 1800 on the 11th) waiting for your big dreams bid...

This is you, after PBS ran your big dreams bid...

So people don't ask me, what is the best way to bid if you don't consider yourself senior? Do this:

1. Start Pairings
2. Whatever you want me to fly.
3. Start Reserve
4. Whenever you want me to work.
5. Submit Bid.

On the other hand, you can get better trips as a junior guy by being more specific. I think everyone senior to me needs to simplify their bidding. . You make a good point though.

I would say that the PBS guys are very helpful. Just do not wait until the last day to call them. I have also used the PBS inquiry form on deltanet. It seemed to be helpful in understanding why I did not get something. Plenty of tools available to help. Now, that double unstacking is something that I will never understand.

The social security tax has nothing to do with the effects of this new PWA. I agree with you on your other points though. I think a lot of these new efficiencies are creating a leaner work force.
