Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I really thought labor was going to be 12+ hours of holding my wifes hand while she screams in agony and curses my very existance.
Here we are 14 hours later- I'm very well rested, and shes doing great (more or less sleeping) thanks to the epidural. Modern medicine is really amazing. The "fun" part is yet to come....

If she's anything like my wife, she's so stoned out of her mind that you could tell her you bought her Barbara Bush's 50 Carat diamond and that it was delivered by Brad Pitt .... she'd forget.
Actually, those drugs scare me. Before childbirth my wife had a photographic memory and could literally memorize a 700 page book almost verbatim (she speaks 5 languages and can get by in another 2). After childbirth, she's more "normal." At least she doesn't show me up on my aircraft's memory items any more. We can't figure out if it was the drugs, or lack of sleep. But, she's still hot, so who cares?

i think the crazy thing about the epidural is how do you push if you can't feel your lower body? it's like trying to do a bench press but not feeling your arms and chest.

Frankly, I suggest not being in the room when she's pushing. Whole lot better to be at the head of the bed, if you're going to be in the room at all.
Best to just have the Doc hand you the kid while your wife is still cross eyed and babbling about, well who knows, I had no idea what mine was babbling about, or even which language she was babbling in. Some secrets need to be kept, and the miracle of birth is probably one of them, JMHO.
Ohh .. and I forgot to welcome 80Kts to the wild world of hotel sex, nap sex and sex in places in your house you had never really considered using for that purpose - garage, aircraft hangar ... sure, uhm, let me roll the tool box over by the compressor... Just like being a teenager, except you're trying to hide from your kids instead of your parents.
Ohhh Kayyy and you know this, how?

Including her father.

Hey 80, you know for the most part I think you stand at the side and so you don't get the full show. So I had no problems, not even nauseous at all and you'll probably feel the same... until they turn on those huge heat lamp lights that make it easier for the doctor to see.
You'll start to bake standing there and for some reason now you see everything, it gets rough.
