I see. I tend to think about all of this in terms of numbers, not politics. Demonstrated compliance is good. Lack of either is bad. I'm open-minded about the next administration. I didn't know we replaced a secretive admin for a good one, but it's true that I've not seen any bulletins on the TA JV recently. So i'm going to trust that the new admin will get the numbers out, so let's give them a chance. Add this on the list above the VA discussions, then the Pinnacle TA.
Does that work, Shiznit?

At one time or another, I flew with both him, and later with the copilot. He was indeed, a strange bird. In the old days the EEC switches were just below the engine cutoff switches. (since moved to the overhead).Lady luck was with them that day. It was the copilot`s first leg out of training, and the flaps were still down, hence ignition was still sparking. Copilot, (first name Jeff, now retired) just put the fuel switches back on and saved a plane load of people. Then, the dumba$$ captain got on the pa and told the entire load of passengers what he did. Then proceeded to CVG. Got banished to perminent first officed status, but he just retired. Later killed in a seaplane at oshkosh.

FYI, the International Affairs and Alliances Committee has a PowerPoint from November which depicts some stats and percentages associated with the JV.

Oh! The best part is,they didn't know the motors were down untill they got those little red flags on the gauges....Boeing was thrilled, they had no idea how rapidly you could get a low alt air start. I'm thinking they had to change many seat covers in CVG that day.

I think George is also pretty even-keeled, and I find him to be extremely well versed on this topic (so much so that I usually just wait to read from him about this). So I assume he's missing some numbers still.
I also try a really outlandish thing sometimes: I check with my rep(s). Last I checked, the JV numbers were in compliance, and trending in the right direction. He expected more info in the spring.

No wonder things get a little testy around here: we have the 4th most stressful job in the nation.
10 Most Stressful Jobs of 2013
This poor guy is stuck flying an RJ, he looks to be only about a month from retiring, his Captain just died, and he's got no avionics. His airspeed his way down, and the only thing he knows about his attitude is that it was really bad when he showed up for work this morning. He just watched The Flight, and he knows that deep down, he's just a worthless FO. Can't even speed his way through turbulence.
And it's only January 3rd, but already, his job is the 4th most stressful of 2013.
Whatever happens next, he's probably going to want his shoulder harness for it.

so lax-bna... are we actually, purposefully, intentionally, not by accident, choosing to willfully compete with another legacy on a route they own while using mainline metal to do it?
i thought basic airline management 101 said this kinds of stuff went the way of the passenger carrying 727s?
