Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
since i posted a picture of a pretty auburn girl, i now get to expend some political capital on some early 1990s glamour shot fails...
My thoughts, the airplane I've flown for the last 13 years were owned by NWA/DAL. The paint the emergency briefing cards, everything signified to the passengers that it was a mainline airplane. I have already been a "NWA/DAL" pilot for years. Just with inferior pay, support structure (management). Get off your high horse.
Nope I've never interviewed and not been offered the job. Well except a modeling job for the college bookstore catalog.
I fail to see the logic that one job interview at Compass is a vastly superior litmus test, to providing 13-17 years of safe transportation as a Northwest Airlink/Delta Connection feeder. The guys that would have flowed under the old agreement are not 25 year old kids. They are in their 40's and older. My friends that did flow haven't met a single CA that had an issue with the flow.
We are beating a dead horse. There won't be a flow. Hopefully other Legacies will hire in the next six months.

I need more popcorn....
Clamp;
Are you trying to cozy up to SWA?
Too bad for those swa pilots that we aren't hiring in 2013.
While commuting on the JS awhile ago, The (then) Mesaba Capt put the flow thru into perspective for me. He said he didn't care about the flow, he wanted to be able to interview and get hired on (for lack of a better word) merit.
I thought about that (the way my brain chews on stuff for awhile) and had to agree with his perspective. Interviews are better than flows...Unless (insert the flow up's flaws here).
Anyone that has hung around this thread knows I am not a regional basher - I commute on them in the JS frequently - There is nothing wrong with the interview process unless you have something to hide.

But in 2000 we were told that could be ten years, so you were better off going elsewhere which meant not flying at Continental because you couldn't cut the line on the flow.
Not to mention, you had to watch people who had been in the industry less time than you go on to CAL ahead of where you'd flow. Say you had two friends hired at Coex and ASA at the same time and both wanted to be CAL pilots in EWR (absurd illustration I know), the Coex dude may have a flow but he might not flow for 10 years. The ASA guy could be hired at CAL in 3. And there is nothing the Coex guy could do about missing the boat other than to leave Coex and reapply.
Of course the other problems with flows, they don't last or they change. I wouldn't base my life upon it.
As a mainline pilot, as long as the pilots are interviewed by Delta and I get the flow down option, I don't care. As a regional pilot, I'd hate the idea and would be against a flow.

Reading about flows is a lot like watching Mark Sanchez playing quarterback.
It's a bit of a train wreck.
Looked for a picture of Mr. Sanchez and ended up finding a picture of a rumored girlfriend. An Auburn girl who denied it.
I'll post that picture instead.
hey, it's better than talking about flows, eh?

He's doing something right. Getting paid millions for nothing, and pounding out beautiful women.
See you on the van at 4:15, and on the overnight in Omaha.
We're in the wrong line of work.
GO VOLS.
