They teach some tough flying in the armed forces, but did you guys never practice PAs? Sad.

And insubordination>not wearing your hat
Out of curiosity, is questioning a poorly worded new policy insubordination?

You forgot to include a phallic fake name.

This raw/days bucket system is working fantastic.

I'm low-mid range seniority on rsv in my category. 68 hours of credit.

A guy a few numbers above me has flown 15. Excellent!

That's what I think when folks in the GO with communication at the top of their required job skills can't find the time to return any of a half dozen phone calls, or e-mails, over a couple of weeks.

Given that FMLA compliance is the law and the Department of Labor is just as serious about their enforcement as the FAA is it's regulations, Delta is exposed to penalty as a result of some folks in HR being unable, or unwilling, to perform their responsibilities.

The HRPM has been updated to make things more clear, but, not returning communications is insubordinate, IMHO. If I was as unresponsive as Delta HR, I would have been fired years ago ..... rant over.

If you stand back and look, there are enough wanna-be m/cs' with material, that can't wait. This will prolly backfire badly and disappear with a small wimper.

80 and Bar - just remember the following. If we did our job as well as they do their job, there'd be smoking craters all over the south east. It's exactly why we take up issue with lateral encroachment on the flight ops silo. No one is as meticulous, or precise as us. The words, "will", "should", and "may" have real life and death consequences for us. HR Rep feeling stressed - she leaves at 415pm on Friday, or turns her Outlook off. ACS bigwigs try and spew the company line about the symbolism of a Delta pilot in uniform. But it wasn't the HR department, or ACS, or IFS, or the IRS that made the Delta pilot a symbol. We did. Us. Not them. So while I may lob a counter point to stir discussion, it's because the reason we aren't doing this isn't because we don't want to, or because we're dodging it, it's because we're leading by example, and we're getting sick of the messes generated by our support staff that end up being mitigated by us. That's why we're the symbol. Because flights ops runs the show. I'd like to see HR generate $36 billion in revenue from their cubicle with a view.

sorry, can't text and taxi...

reword it to say: if you are good at public speaking, have solid people skills or are devilishly handsome, feel free to make a gate PA!

Another way to make this go away real fast is to be very informed on what passengers are entitled to in different delays, And then duly inform said passengers.
WX - SOL
MX - depends on time but maybe food vouchers and such
CX- A whole bunch o stuff depending on why.

Have you called your rep about it?

DALPA is pretty serious about chasing stuff like that down.
