Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
![Default](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Well that's a relief!
I had a couple more questions:
1) What are the 3 most junior domiciles and equipment at Delta currently?
2) I've heard several mentions of Delta furlough pilots but the ALPC Delta page shows 0 pilots on furlough. So are there still DAL pilots on furlough and if so, why does the furlough # show 0?
Thanks!

2- There are still about 300 pilots on "furlough bypass." They deferred their return from furlough until a later date. This next chance to come back will be their last.

Ok, thanks for the info!
So will those 300 be given a last chance to return before Delta starts hiring off the street again?

Yes. I think its about 260 or so, but not sure exactly. Most will have one final chance, but I think there are a few fNWA furloughs that were recalled and then refurloughed around 2006ish or so briefly? In any case there is a small demographic that will get several more years but I think most will have to decide when (if?) hiring begins again.

There have been very few Greenslips given out so far this week. I certainly would not call it a panic. There are a order of magnitude more greenslips given out with almost any weather event. Overall the sick leave rate does not rise much over holidays. For the most part our pilots have a pretty good integrity level. There are off course notable exceptions but overall its pretty good.

But I think we could better incentivise holiday work as well as eventually reform (or at least offer an option) for what is essentially a use it or lose it, rather large annual sick bank.
Then again, if we did any of that, it could eventually reduce manning formulas and whatnots. While I'm in favor of productivity in general, at this point its up to the company to build better trips. They (all airlines) whine about productivity and then define productivity for them as massive, working every day for low credit and sitting around all day style unproductivity for us. At this point when they say they want productivity, our answer should be "yes, we agree! RIG IT!"
I still see holiday pay as a very low to no cost item if it was implimented right. Even time and a quarter would probably be enough to cut down on GS's, RR's, IA's and even guarantee exceedances during holidays and make the RSV grid for holiday weeks look like any old boring off season week, all while giving more people off those days that truly want them.

18 degrees here in Minneapolis, wind howling past my hotel room window. Now I remember why I moved away from here 13 years ago.

Take the time and look through the trips assigned in the last few days. You will find very few GS's. The only category out of a dozen I looked at with any significant numbers is the 777A category in ATL. One pilot posted about assignments like his category was really short. The assignment given out in his category was for a trip reporting 20 minutes later.
I count on the 20th when they were assigning the back half of the trips they had broken up from Monday that went into Thanksgiving, 8 were assigned to reserves and 9 went out on GS's and another 2 went out on IAs.

I was Thankful the Patriots didn't do what they normally do, and choke. That was quite a second quarter they had last night, but I have no fear they will dissapoint me if/when they get to the Super Bowl.
Question for Jet's Fans...why won't they put Tebow in?? Why did they even take him, and why do they pay him, if they are not going to use him, even when down by...30 POINTS!

OK, now for the important stuff:
What about Saturday's college games:
FL or FSU?
Notre Dame or USC?
