2028 was 477, is now 179
2032 was 321, is now 22

The numbers posted now are significantly lower. How is this possible?

Was the difference due to the early outs that kicked in on Oct. 1, and Nov. 1? How often are those posted numbers updated?

As per the official retirement list as of 01JUN12 (2013-2016ish will be lower due to the early out program)=

2013= 80
2017= 334
2028= 501
2032= 390

5 years at DAL, 5% up the list. At this average rate I will be holding A320 captain after 50 years at DAL! Almost guaranteed! Err, wait, the average male life expectancy says I'll be dead by then. I never wanted to use that tiller anyways.

It'll start moving at a pretty good clip here soon... hopefully. At least with the fleet plan I would think it would have to...

I was 10% from the bottom of the list pre SLI, 10% post SLI, and am around 3% better than that now, but way more junior than I was in ATL pre-SLI on a much smaller airplane. Gah!

Ok, I'm confused. Are the numbers you posted above actual mandatory retirement #s for those years? If so, then what the heck are the random #s that are currently listed on the ALPC Delta page?
Also, given the early out program, shouldn't that lower the total # of pilots at the company from 11,822 to a lower number? Thanks.

Those are "worst case" everyone goes to Age 65 numbers that I posted.

I don't know why that happened- it's not valid numbers, though. I'll send a message to HSLD or Freight Dawg.

The 01NOV12 seniority list shows 11805 pilots on the list (down from 12454 at the time of the merger ). There will be a handful more to dive out from the early retirement offered earlier in the year.

Ok good to hear! Your numbers are way better than the numbers currently posted. According to the numbers posted now, there are still about 4500 pilots currently at Delta under the age of 39, which doesn't seem correct.

Well that's a relief!

I had a couple more questions:

1) What are the 3 most junior domiciles and equipment at Delta currently?

2) I've heard several mentions of Delta furlough pilots but the ALPC Delta page shows 0 pilots on furlough. So are there still DAL pilots on furlough and if so, why does the furlough # show 0?

Thanks!
