Just bought a ZED for my wife on SWA a month or so ago. You have to purchase at a DAL ticket counter, SWA is not eZed yet.

Interesting article about the "pilot shortage" in the WSJ: Airlines Face Acute Shortage of Pilots - WSJ.com

I think the guy leaving the door for flying past 65 clearly fits the profile for another thread.

Photoshopped. The B-52 is much larger than an aircraft carrier (a ship that planes take off and land on)

"We had more bayonets and horses in 1916."

The president forgot to mention that we have as many F-14s now as we did in 1916.

Thanks Scoop
SWA has been eZed for several months now. I've bought my wife 3 zeds on them online since mid September. I did just see the notice on my IDtravel saying to buy at the counter until further notice. That being said I did just buy her a roundtrip eZed on SWA two weeks ago. It worked great. Just swipe a credit card or ID with the appropriate name on it, or enter the confirmation number that you get from the IDtravel site at a SWA kiosk and voila, boarding pass. However you should still check in with the agent at the gate. My wife missed a flight by not doing this because she assumed she was checked in. I'm a Compass guy using Delta pass travel. I hope this helps.

Raise the age to 67 and the problem will only be worse in two years. Raise it to 70 and it will be worse in 5 years.

One guy mentions all the talent going overseas because the pay is better. Raise the retirement age, guarantee more years of stagnation, and watch an even bigger chunk leave the regionals and junior-end majors for those overseas gigs. Problem exascerbated, not fixed.

Plus Boomer's wife and kids leave him for a better-paid cable guy or auto repairman. Very sad.
