I dunno, I think over the last few years SWA guys have slowed down a lot, particularly after their MDW overrun. You still get the occasional old-school cowboy blasting along at 40 kts, but it's a lot more rare than it used to be.
Get a slippery enough surface, and you can go off a taxiway at 5 kts. It's happened to plenty, and not just SWA.

Been cutoff by them MANY times in LAX, not too surprised.
As someone that's been a pilot-turned-passenger for about 10 butt clenching feet on an icy Signature ramp in MSP, I tend to think it's bad juju to start throwing stones about taxi speed. Especially since I was doing about a knot when it happened (fortunately I didn't hit anything!).
