Well, FTB just said I was huge, and that MD-88 pilots are going to be the 21st century's version of F-14 Gods. Those are both positive.

And there's also a new James Bond movie coming out, which means a new James Bond girl...

I hope by "crashed" the news meant "landed hard"...

Prayers for the officers.

Yeah, here's some good stuff: I was able to change my DH to an Economy Comfort seat with no problem online... not sure why it wasn't booked that way auto, or if I had to wait to 48 hours prior or something, but it worked!

And people seemed to like the new safety video. Everyone was happy to see Deltalina in there too, including me.

And I'm pretty sure the new AE will at least not move me backwards this time, or not much, though I may be surprised by the 20 surplus FOs in my base causing some craziness.

And I'm ALMOST POSITIVE that the NEXT AE will REALLY be the big one! I mean, seriously they HAVE to staff for the new MD90s and 717s hey? So the MOAB should really be coming soon! Woot! And I'm optimistic that the downshifting of 7ER flying and 767 flying into these narrow-bodies will somehow not cause me any personal backwards movement. Although I'm not clear how that can be unless we actually HIRE, but right now I'm feeling pretty good about burying my head in the sand and hoping Ok, that's not super positive, but the best I can muster and not NEGATIVE, so "yeah team!".

And I got a great hotel room at a great hotel while stuck in the NE for 2 days during Sandy, and it was even at a city I bid a low-pay trip to visit, so THAT turned out OK! For that matter I have a king-size bed right now, so I've got to say I'm totally pleased with our hotel accommodations. Slept like a baby last time I was at the JFK short, and their internet actually worked, so I'm on a roll!

And I'm about 10/10 in the last two months for trips with great guys, but that may be as much a factor of me not screwing anything major up as anything. Both good deals anyways... so the JOB is actually enjoyable and all.

And I had off for the wife's birthday and thanksgiving and halloween with the kids, and deer season, so I've got NO complaints there. Good job, happy with the pay, good time with family, good folks. 99% great.

AND I have this place to come let off steam and ***** about that other 1%, along with no real prospects for advancement Trust me, EVERYONE in Heaven is *****ing about something--they HAVE to be for max enjoyment, for it to really BE Heaven hey? Ghandi is up there, "I'm sorry, but I'm getting a little tired of all the peace..."

My only real valid complaint is that i live in the same city as you I think, but haven't met you on the commutes yet... That, and I stumbled around the ATL lounge recently giving folks the secret L&G underboob hand signal, they just looked at me like I was crazy and had me escorted out. No love.

Delta would have to dig deep then. I've priced tickets in and out of the Northwest twice in the last week. Alaska has the cheapest restricted coach fare by about $10.

And I doubt very seriously that Delta would undercut their favorite competitor.

So maybe it's not brand loyalty. Maybe Delta's 5.6% quarterly cost growth has something to do with it.
