This was a primary reason for me voting no on the TA... the jumbo RJs coming online are already long term viable.

I hope they do this, though.... but in my talks with "captain" AG ( ), he doesn't think RJs should be at mainline at the payrates we have on them now. No bueno!

While our airline turns out profits as we shrink, just imagine how much MORE $$$ we can make if we keep shrinking!! Err...wait...

The irony being is that he'd probably never have to fly one.

Simple solution, we should add in the contract that a Captain could not be MD'd to a 76 seater. You could VD but not MD.

The gain is roughly $18.75 mil per dollar of crack.

$20 crack would yield $375 mil yearly
$42 crack would yield $787.5 mil yearly

If UAL wants to buy a refinery we should either buy it to capture the "20% domestic and whatever % international", or bid it up high so UAL massively overpays.
You said crack spread...

In an image search for "crack spread" you also get charts, graphs and butts.

They already got you covered there. The definition of seats permitted is reference an "aircraft" without reference to power plant.

Ed says about 3/4 of the way thru... Reducing the cost by reducing profit sharing.... Just rub it in a little more please.

WRT to the new 717's--thank you Southwest...

"And what Richard said on the check airplane check is exactly right, they’re fresh out of check as we receive them, of whatever their next check due was."

Richard Anderson
"And the cost related to putting them in the Delta configuration with Delta seats, Delta delivery, Delta interior product, fresh overhaul, paint job and all the reliability mods, the airplane is delivered to us in that condition so that cost is not ours."
