Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Hmmm. I can enter into ICrew a displacement/AE for the following:
DTW: DC9, 320, 330 or 744
MSP: DC9, 320, 330
MEM: DC9, 320
But no 757 (or 767) or 7ER.
I think Delta-N has 757s based in MSP and DTW now. Are they hiding what they are doing with the 757 until the AE is published?

If he is a LCA it is when the aircraft is cleared to push to the completion of the shutdown checklist.
With the line guys, it is however they want it done. My point was if they wants it on early, that is their call, if they don't, I do not flip it. If they keep it on after shutdown, that is his/her call,, if they do not, it is their call as well. IE the philosophy if spelled out in the FOM, but as a CA with CA Authority it is right to change that, and I am not going to reinvent the wheel, or prove that yes, a wheel is in fact round.
Like I said, do it however he/ she wants it done.

Like I stated this AM, it looked as though they were going to do this. Fact is that they can change their mind up to the second they hit publish.
While I agree with your philosophy about how it's done, keep in mind that the company has gone after BOTH pilots in a few instances where the FOM policy wasn't followed. The intention was that the FO should have brought to the captain's attention the deviation from policy, and by not doing so, was complicant in violating said policy.
Can't pick any DAL equipment in NWA bases either (like DTW777). Just trying to make my crystal ball work better.
As far as the beacon in the 737 and MD-88, I turn it on per the S.O.P. (cleared/ready to push) until the Captain I'm flying with directs me otherwise. It makes life easy. I'm not a mind reader.
