It is my understanding that it is from report to 30 minutes after your last block in.

ACL, Listening to guys who have recently been to EDI they are saying those planes are full both ways. Why are we cutting it and letting Continental own it? It seems to make no sense if they are full.

They see no demand for it in the winter. I believe that is a seasonal pull down.

FWIW, CAL is full too, both ways.

the word on the street up in NY is that it is gone. Sesonal makes more sense but why just give it to CO? The station manager there complained that we did not advertise at all in the local market and that CO did...iti isn't too hard to figure out that we aren't getting our name out there either.

One can argue that both ways. Fact is that 99% of the global society will go to a internet travel site when booking their travel. They may not book there but they will at least compare first. (I do this all of the time) If DAL is competitive on price and frequency people will choose us.
Places like that do have a great deal of traffic to the US. I know this to be fact, because every time I fly in to JFK I have at least 10 people coming from ABC going on to these places. DAL is doing a decent enough job attracting whom they want to attract, and let the internet do the rest.
In reality except in a few instances, print advertisement is dead.

It is one of these cities that has had seasonal service for the last few years. It is one that they may have cut completely, and will revisit with the market is correct. I will have to check my mountain of paper on my desk. I personally see us or a JV airline going in there.

I liked the service too. My family attorney has a child that is studying over there, and he is quite miffed that DAL is pulling out. I encouraged him to write DAL, and he has. It is quite inconvenient for them to get to EWR from where they live, so it is LGA, or JFK then a bus to EWR for the flight.

Is the beacon a CA's only switch on the DAL S fleets? Just curious because via our Phase III training on the DC-9 the FO flips the beacon ON once a push clearance is received.

Funny thing about that is the aircraft most frequently involved was the 737-700 and on that jet the times are triggered off the closing of the L1 door... . The beacon has nothing to do with it.
