They take you everywhere you'd want to go in Manhattan.

They both have ticket kiosks or ticket sellers at in times square right where the place is that sells all the left over broadway show tickets/near the m&m's store.
Thanks scambo.

I do agree on term limits, and more importantly, I'd like contractual language barring union officers from crossing to a Company function other than LCP or instructor, for some lengthy period, i.e. 5 years. And vice-versa.

I'm trying to follow the substance of the didcussion, to follow, but this is pretty much drowning into personality issues, and not too issue-based.
I don't ignore..I like different points of view, however he was just dragging out a moot point for pages. It's done...yes carried the TA. Maybe he is a union type and had to take alot of crap and he wants to give some back to 80. I don't know, but I do know it's not constructive and it wastes time for all of us who follow this thread. Just pointing it out to 76drvr.

I agree to your point on joint roles. I don't think pilots should make a career of anything other than being a pilot. Too many in our ranks are career MGT or union. We can't control MGT but we can control the stipulations of who and for how long a pilot can work for us.

Oh, how's that popularly elected Federal Deficit doing? Partisanship and pandering a problem? The US Government is your model of business efficiency? Can you show me a business in which the shareowners elect the Board, CEO, and management team?

We're not talking about the power to make war, print money or change what is defined as "human rights." We're talking about doing the business (read economics) of the Delta pilots. Our governance structure supports that better than any of the alternatives (APA direct election/Teamster's Business agent, etc.) that I've seen.
Slow, I anticipated your expected response so that's why I included the USSR. It wasn't so I could say, "Well, the USA (whose members vote for their leaders, top to bottom) is still around and a super power, whereas the USSR (whose members didn't get to vote) is no longer in existence." I put both there to help you consider bringing up strawman arguments. But you went there anyway. You simply asked for an example where an organization elects its own CEO, etc. Actually, you said business organization. So if you think of ALPA as a business then you should be able to concede the government functions as a business in a similar enough fashion when it comes to representation.

Not looking for a big argument here, just giving you an example where the people who are represented actually vote on their representation. I happen to think it's a more appropriate example since voters pay taxes to the government as we pay dues to our union. You don't see IBM employees paying dues to IBM; businesses pay their employees, not the other way around.

with the innovative minds at DAL thinking outside the box ....ie oil refinery. Now I know why DAL hires FAs with cat farms.
