No way..."WEAR YOUR HAT" was pounded into our heads at indoc. I always wear my hubcap (cap at the hubs).

A friend that punched, said he remembers everything like it was in slow motion. The explosive charges blowing, starting up the rails, man-seat sep...etc. OTOH, an old IP, says he remembers thinking it's time to get out of here and the next thing he knows he is under a chute. Interesting to see the difference stories.

One coworker called it the most violent thing that he had ever experienced. But, he and the other crewmembers survived uninjured.

I heard (but can't remember where) that's it's more of a problem of Brazil not letting us use a bigger airplane on the route than us not wanting to put the 747-400 on it. I'm sure we could fill it with people and cargo, but the Brazilians don't have planes that compete with that on size. Ergo, we have to use B767 and B767-400s.

Seems Ma Delta wants us to help them get out of another jam. Anyone else see the request to get the DOT to allow us to fly Seattle-Haneda instead of DTW? Course it'll be on the 767 too not the 747.
