Hey, guys. Contract question... I was looking at my timesheet and I noticed reroute pay. What is that? I don't remember being re-routed during any of my trips. Here's what my timesheet looks like (yes, I flew my tail off!)...

***Edit: We did have a rotation that ran really late because of delays into LGA. We ended up getting re-routed prior to leaving from MEM and had to fly to JFK instead because of the LGA curfew. We didn't block in until 3:30am on our day off. Could that be it? I'm a new lineholder and trying to get used to this stuff!

That might be it, but to be sure call Curtis tomorrow at DALPA. One guy who is always watching our backs!

Congrats on the great month!

Any time you are re-routed you will see some number in the re-route pay section of your timecard. When scheduling has time, they have a person that manually reviews all re-routes to determine if you are contractually due re-route pay. 95% of the time that amount will disappear because if it is due to something outside of the control of the company like WX, MX, or ATC delays, you will not get re-route pay.

There was a party going on today in our gate house in DCA. Balloons, music and banners all to celebrate NEW SERVICE from DCA to Portland Oregon!!

Ready Buzz?

New service on...

For some reason a DCA-ATL on an MD88 doesn't get balloons, music and a banner. But if Bar had been there, he'd send us off with balloons, music and a banner yelling "THEY MIGHT MAKE IT!"

Wow, too bad we didn't have the Alaska Code Share to feed our PDX MD11's flying to Asia, back when we had a big MD11 base in PDX!

Well, at least we still have a SEA base...for now.
