I will trust the guy who held the nuclear football on that one.

Could be they got stuck in holding and nobody ever thought to go look for them.

I was just looking at the early out numbers, looks like Saililng Fun was correct about the ages of who went, about 77 (combined) of the 191 were ages 58, 59 and 60. There were about 30 who were age 64, so they were going pretty soon anyway, but over the next 3 years we'll see a lot more go, in addition to the 191, because so many who took this were younger than 62.

Now, back to the backfilling thing. As long as the company keeps shrinking our international block hours, I don't see them replacing all the 747, A330 and 767 ER pilots...we can only watch and hope.

I don't know about that, but the Dooley departure is named for Derrick Dooley.. not Vince. That's my story and belief, and I'm stickin' to it.

2 weeks to kickoff.

Isn't that almost 10% of your list? That seems like a ton.

You forgot to add, ..."but if I don't like how you fly, you'll be the first to know.".

If all those guys were gonna come back, it would be huge. But, most aren't or won't. Almost all of he furloughed guys, and I was one of them, who haven't come back have moved on. The 10 year clock is also running out on those guys. Most were back for good in 2008. The mil leave guys, in some cases, are dribbling back. Again, most have found other avenues. The guys on sick, well, that's obviously case by case dependent.

Thanks NewK and all for your well wishes! I'm hoping it's a pay raise but not sure yet with the reserve guarantee vs regular line on 7er. But, after 8 years or so, I figure it's time for a change!
