Wow. Now I know why they refer to it as an FO position: if we don't like our position after the award, we can just go FO.

Congrats to Denny, that being said.
I bet that'll change in October with the next "mother of all bids" (MOAB).

Not a single number change for 73 FOs in LA. Did get one of our cool CAs back, however.

Congrats Denny. Don't worry, if Ferd can do it, well......

When they start posting the 717 bids is when the F/O's will finally see some movement, junior F/O's that is, the senior ones (20yr.) won't bid it.

Any strong opinions on who to address a letter of recommendation to when submitting it on Airline Apps? Trying to avoid, "Dear Sir/Ma'am" or "To who it may concern"

Thanks.

I don't think it matters. What matters is the recommendation of an active Delta pilot with a delta.com e-mail address.

Given the trends on (not) backfilling, and the fact there are still DC-9 displacements to offset the first batch, and given capacity guidance, I find no rational reason to expect positive bids.

And that doesn't even suppose we'll play another hand of Consolidation.

I'm going to go have a seat next to Bar, because I think I just got served what he's having.

This is called the, "At least I didn't move backwards" bid.

Now, how many of those 191 early outs are they going to replace, that's the big question.

I think I know the answer, but I'll wait until the next bid and see if they actually do replace all of them.

I have not seen the actual break down of exactly how many went early, from each category, after the big pull-out (60 guys pulled out of the early out, early).

I'll need those numbers to keep track of the backfilling. Anyone seen them yet?

Some senior FOs in ATL and possibly NYC will bid the left seat on the 717. If there are -900s plus ups added to this next AE, the wild card will be if they decided to downsize the 75s or not concurrently. I think we'll see some upward movement initially, followed by some 757 decisions based on the economy. JMHO

True, but for the first 717 awards, I'm going to assume those WB FO's will be competing with displaced DC-9 A's. Same concept on the 737-900: they are supposed to be offset by 767-300/757/320 retirements.

In theory, the retirements could lag behind the deliveries, but I'm just as much of a MD-88 A, in theory, as little Johnny is a millionaire in theory.

In reality...

Didn't see any movement at all in the NYC 320 base. Either seat and I know we had at least one on the RMA list. I guess Timbo is right, "At least I didn't move backwards".
