MEM and CVG were doomed the moment the merger was announced. Anyone who thought otherwise was smoking some really good stuff!

At 0000, they realized the flight was never re-crewed w/pilots. CNXed. No hotel rooms left. TSA shuts down the airport, so it was baggage claim or find a hotel on their own. 400 bucks later they found a hotel.

Flight was full, and there was no where for any of them to find lodging near LGA.

Not a good day to be in LGA.

It would not be a good day in any base in the system with the weather they had. Huge line of T storms. Winds at both LGA and JFK reported as high as 47 knots.

Man, I slept through it all.

But that's what happens when one morning you're driving home from work at 3am and the next morning you're driving to work at 4am.

There is one simple solution to LGA.... Dash 8s! ON FLOATS!

I'd bid it!

I always thought the 757 would make a great float plane too!

Ugly afternoon in DTW today (and subsequently equally as ugly at CMH and CLE). What a cluster.

Ugh, we endured a 3 + hour ground stop last night going ATL-LGA. Blocked in at 150 am. Didn't even bother going to my crash pad as I had a 600 am jumpseat. Feel real sharp right now.

Hey, I wonder if we still have the old PAA flying boat rights. They could dock at the MAT like in the old days.
