Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Unless our block hr plan goes up for next summer, there is ZERO need for bodies to fly next summer plan. Now if they want to keep pilots in the WB seats versus displacing them, then we will hire. The other variable is "if" the 757's stay when the 739 starts arriving. That is the short term "flex fleet"

The initial deliveries of 737-900s will begin next August and continue through 2018 for the 100 firm orders we have on the books. As of right now, these are slated to be replacement aircraft, but we have a lot of options available to us when it comes to expanding our fleet. If the economy rebounds, we have the ability to keep some of our older 757’s and A320’s the 737-900s were intended to replace.

It has nothing to do with the TA. It has more to do with implementation of LOA 29 and the schedulers learning curves, which they are overcoming. A year ago we were utilizing twice as many reserves as planned. Part of the issue was reserve base utilization and the other part was breaking trips up, when that was not necessarily required. They have worked in these two areas and as a result, reserves are working more in line with where the company wants their utilization.

Scheduling Question
I was considering a Swap with the Pot for a spill trip at the end of August. But I'm curious about whether it's pay protected or not. On Day 3 of 4 there was a charter repo leg that now shows CXD. So what will happen? A DH to DTW to finish the trip? A reroute to something different for less credit? If they alter the trip, do I still get the original spill credit for the Sep bid period?

The trips are so bad on the 320 in NY, that I'm thinking about bidding reserve. I commute from the West Coast and almost none of the trips are commutable on either end. I had more time at home when I was on reserve!

Jughead & I finished our CQ together today! We didn't know we were each APC-ers until I showed him & the instructor my iPad with Goodreader on it. I showed him the search function and he saw "Bill Lumberg" in the search section, because I searched our seniority list, then he said "He's a douchbag!", and I said, "Yes he is, and what's your member name?". Then I asked him, do you know FTB? CQ complete!
