There Joe, fixed it for you.

As for the DC-3 thing, the County Code Enforcement Officer apparently lied and as far as I know any and all charges where dropped. He was doing an engine run and compass swing. He asked her to move back, she did, so he taxied his airplane to where it needed to be parked.

Her story was "her tried to run over me with an airplane." As you surely would understand, no one would want to wreck their restored classic aircraft into a vehicle.

The locals had been trying to run "large" airplanes off the airport since someone crashed the DC4 and blew the Piggly Wiggly to smithereens. The City had allowed building within the runway clear zone and when they failed to shut down the entire airport they went after the operators of "big" airplanes as a safety hazard.

How could you as CEO monitor every employee? As a pilot would you like your employer to force you to have mental screening at each sim ride? Your post wreaks of the immature drivel written in the closed Skywest thread on the regional board. Your better than this Bar. I've seen shining examples of well thought out posts. This was not one of them.

Some of that is due to the capacity reduction and some of that is due to planes getting AVOD and pax seat mods. I don't think Delta has actually "parked" any of the original planes. Someday they will go back to normal ops.

Hoser,

Actually, we pilots are supposed to self disclose some of the behaviors and events you mention. I do not know if non union Skywest has anything like a HIMS (Human Intervention Motivational Study) program, but it is a great program. It is a legit question. As union members we have a non punitive safe harbor if heaven forbid something happens which requires assistance. Do non union carriers enjoy such non punitive self disclosure?

If I stated it in an inflammatory way, I apologize. Just venting frustration over the situation. Nobody likes to see things like this happen.

Yes, non union SkyWest has a HIMS program. It would be hard to believe that the individual involved in this incident did not know about it. I don't think it mattered.

I know you might like to think that our non union status is the root of all evil, but I think it has nothing to do with this case. This guy didn't kill his girlfriend and then himself in spectacular fashion because he was concerned about disclosing his feelings at work.

Surprise,

Since I made everyone angry with that post, I will ask that the mods remove it and change my screen name to:

"Bland Bowl of Thin Lukewarm Oatmeal who can't Possibly Offend Anyone, no matter how much they like being offended."*

* Credit to the race organizers of the Miami Lemons race after complaints came in to their "Cuba Del Norte'" race went unappreciated by Miami residents.

With three 744's going through the cabin mods at the same time, of course the are. All of that will be done by the end of the year.

But I am tired of the discussion, so I will be happy to say that I will agree with you to just disagree and let it go at that. And I thank you for your perception that I am not in int for myself, but looking at it for the group as a whole..
OK, fair enough. I'm having a cold one right now, and I'll agree about the 747.

As for LBP, I inderstand your perspective, and am fine with a healthy difference of opinions.
