sometimes a couple sharp raps with your knuckles followed by some gentle tugging will do the trick.

Are you guys ever gonna consider LGB pay or at least bigger bands...

How obvious does this have to be?

I thought he was referring to the airplanes.

As to the other, you are always gonna find the exception. I think most will continue to do well until inundated with obomacare entitled free medical seekers..

I've had this discussion with several Delta pilots recently. They see either pay banding or longevity pay as the primary solution to our training capacity problem when we hit 800+ retirements per year. They see it as one of the primary negotiating items the company will want in the next contract. Most pilots I talk with look at this favorably. Not sure about the unintended consequences, but that has been discussed on this forum previously.

I think it'll depend on how aligned the categories start from a seniority perspective. It could take years to integrate the pay bands from a seniority stand point, not to mention the rush of training events that the pay banding would cause. In this case I think we're already behind the 8 ball unless they start the pay banding yesterday. If they wait until 2016 it could be too late.

Perhaps DAL just isn't interested and they think the current seat locks are a good enough disincentive.

Sorry Elvis, apparently responsible parenting isn't cool.
