My point is mainly that the F_NWA guys should use the integration methodology on a Alaska merger and see how they like the result. We are in the same boat together.

As for 249+(Bar) I'm so junior no one would care. As I pointed out, those around me on the seniority list bypassed the job already. Wish I could help!
I am confused. When were you hired at Delta? From what you describe it sounds like mid 2007. I thought you had been here much longer than that.

That's been the best part of the merger. The NWA pilots, to a man, are a really great group of folks!

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Brokerage firm Raymond James initiated coverage of Delta Air Lines Inc. /quotes/comstock/13*!dal/quotes/nls/dal (DAL 6.12, +0.00, +0.00%) on Friday with an outperform rating, citing the company's recent merger with Northwest, its equity and a potential industry-wide recovery next year. "We are now 20 months into the current recession, and fuel prices, while volatile, remain substantially lower year-over-year," the firm said in a note. "We are inclined to be positive on airline stocks with sufficient liquidity, with an eye toward recovery in 2010." Raymond James gave Delta stock a 12-month target price of $8. Shares of Delta last traded at $6.08, down a fraction.

We always say passengers have short memories. We do to. Look at our feet, not our mouths.

Strong words, but they need to be spoken. I will be one that gets bumped off of all three.
I really didn't want to go down this road.. but WE didn't vote FOR anything... I have NEVER rubber stamped a contract... I have read the TAs from cover to cover.. can you honestly say that?

The one thing fun about being corporate is coming in to customers and the owner gives you a temporary $10,000 tip. You always have to give it back after you clear customs. I never understood that, its just as easy for me to hide it in the plane like everyone else did and a Gulfstream would provide plenty of spots. I recommend the medical kit or life raft.
...
Doing the phase 3 on the MD88, anybody else notice in the video that they start rotating at V1? Its funny, then you hear "Rotate" and its like the controls go "OH... right, let me pull just a tad more."

They are doing this with our gate agents that have no protection currently. A former DAL flight that is being operated by NWA is now serviced by NWA because of the contract their gate agents are under. The NWA gate agents are getting better schedules and in some cases they have had to hire to deal with the added flights. The DAL gate agents with no representation are getting laid off. Some with decades of service. It is all about what is the easiest.
Hence my statement.[/quote]

I have no knowledge of what contract the gate agents may have at NWA however it must not have been very good. In CLT for example all the NWA agents were simply pink slipped and are now jobless. They hired on the Delta side to handle the increase in flights. They may have been contract or part time but they are now all gone.
The rumor I heard is that Delta is going to give AFA until the the first of the year. If they don't call for a vote and wont sit down to discuss the seniority list Delta is going to furlough from the NWA side. Delta has been patient for the moment but they will play hardball at some point.

Interesting. So far, I'm not impressed by the AFA. First, it I think they were mad at Delta for requesting integration because it would force them to play hardball against the Delta F/A's. Then they sat on their hands when the "council" (Delta) agreed to DOH. Now they're focusing on size 28 red dresses.

Size 28 red dresses. I just threw up a little in my mouth.
