Ol' Lawnchair's already got the goat. He's just trying to push it over the fence ( at least that was his excuse when he got caught.).

Not only that, but from the company's perspective, its just the right thing to do. Starting off with "we put the expense on you just because we can" doesn't really set the tone very well especially for a company that, despite being a legacy, still puts itself out there as a close knit family, etc. and all that jazz.

Losing billions and trying to survive? Okay, fair enough, I guess. Making billions and projected to continue? Its time to do the right thing, its as simple as that. WWCEWD?

I agree, but I think we all know that ALPA won't ever make a strong push for it. I think from what I gather, NWA set their pilots up with a room, but I'm not sure.

Yeah and he also weighed the FA's too. I'm not talking about back in the 30's (although I really don't think he'd outsource 325 DC-9 sized jets to anyone, much less to cut throat pilot pushing, brely legal, operation trashing, competition subsidizing little Lorenzo wanna be dirt bags like BB or JO either).

But WRT this particular issue, considering even many dirt bag regionals pay for accomidations, and several in our direct peer set do as well including some "LCC's" its pretty clear its the right thing to do. My money's on CEW doing the right thing instead of trying to save an insignificant amount of money like that. Like I said, its the right thing to do. Period.

I bet if you polled business men/million milers, they would want to bring that policy back.

Could someone explain the new reserve system to me? Or, send me to a page where it has been talked about. I have limited experience with reserve and pay on reserve. I assumed that you got whatever res minimum pays and that was it unless you flew more than that # , but I have read on here recently that it has changed with the new contract. Thanks!
