You'd have more buddies to party with if 65% of your domestic flying wasn't done by the punk kids staying in bunkbeds at the Clarion.

The trick is to smack an RJ every six months and let the insurance company pay for the wing inspections.

After all, isn't that why you have insurance?

Oh, and I'd like to learn how to fly again...one leg a month ain't doin' it for me.
I suggest bidding MD-88 FO and letting us young spunky ones give a try at the cruise ship you fly.

All he has to do is walk away from the computer when he's signed into DBMS and voila, all his hopes can come true.

...and he can even get a new nickname, free...

"Spooge Face" is a cool nickname!

And if I flunk out of training on the DC9, they have to send me back to my old seat...right?

Might be fun!

Some captains I've talked to predict two AE's close together. One in August for the early retirement replacements, and one in October for staffing the additional MD-90's and new 737-900ER's coming online. Also predictions are hiring in the 4th quarter.

I had hoped that this contract would cover hotel costs for new hires in initial flight training, but I don't think it was addressed. It was one of my comments in the contract survey. They're cash-strapped as it is, and just because we had to do it doesn't make it right, or not worth changing, and yes I would be willing to give something up for that.

You see, this is why I NEVER get on the down the escalator in front of the F/O's! I won't even step off the sidewalk first! Some have tried to fake me out by taking a half-step, in front of an oncoming bus, but I've learned to wait until they get at least 5 feet ahead of me, then I'll go.

You sneaky bastages!

But remember, I was once a sneaky bastage F/O too!

YES! It was in my survey too. It'd be a nice to see in the next TOT or SOT. It is a very tough sell to the guys already on property that want to see more restoration.
