Yes, I changed from no to yes yesterday. Here's why:
1. This is the first management team that I've respected and been proud of. I like the way they're doing things. At least to this point. I'm willing to give them my vote for more success. I may regret that but, right now, I'm in. I'm not a rube. I've been in a lot of different organizations. These guys actually want to run a successful airline. Me too.
2. If our NC came to us with this TA, what makes me think this same team can go back to the table and get anything better? Nothing. We're out-gunned if that's the scenario. I'm not cool with starting all over with a new team and, I'm sorry, DPA is DOA.
3. This TA is for three years. It's essentially an extension. The mere fact that the company came to us and pushed this through means that something bigger is up. And soon. I'll bite my tongue, fly my jet and be an amazingly loyal employee. I'm a big picture guy. Somethings up. We'll be back at the table soon. Until then, I'm an expectant and semi-happy camper.
4. Finally, I see this, after serious review, as being a short term scope gain. I'm a football fan. When the climate is bad and you can't throw it deep for the big score, you grind it out on the ground. The current economic environment is like Lambeau Field in January. If its cold and the winds are swirling, you run the ball and dump it off for short gains. Ironically, that's how SWA has done it. We can all learn that lesson and not bank our hopes on a Hail Mary. Plus, as an LA guy, the fact that we're reclaiming 15% of the code share from AK makes me cautiously optimistic.
I'm voting yes after weeks of study, being ****ed off, and talking to reps and fellow pilots. This is a win, not a grand slam, but a win. I'm in.

If this TA passes and its a big money saving contract and win for the company, then the DAL stock should shoot way up. I have the stock board up and running. Unless ALPA waits until every vote is in and then hits the enter key, they already know what the results are. I hope they aren't like the SC and drag out the results. Inquiring minds want to know.
P.S. 7 minutes to go and the stock is actually down.

...and the finished product had zero connection to reality. Been there, done that. One of the many reasons to celebrate military retirement. That, and never having to use power point.

actually, ALPA would be in big trouble if they knew what the results are before 10am and they have emphatically said so.

2 part question....
Does vacation time credit towards max reserve time?
If you are assigned short call and you are 1 hour shy of the max reserve, can they make you fly?
