Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Maybe Bill already answered this, but how can Delta get DCI down to 125 CRJs in 2015 when they just extended Pinnacle's 143 CRJs until 2017-2022?

Clamp, that was only a joke, but if it doesn't pass, do you and others think miraculously all the hidden loopholes, the concessionary items, and pay issues will all just go away in the next round? Doubt it very much. If we begin renegotiations, best we could realistically hope for would be a tweak here and there and maybe a percent or two increases in pay. If we go for the jugular, I would expect to see prolonged talks ending in another failure. For a short three year TA/contract with the world/economy in extremely volatile turmoil, I think this is a really bad idea. I guess if the TA goes down, at some point either you or I will be saying, “I told you so.” I hope it would be you and not me. You could be correct about the 717's coming anyway, but that is certainly contrary to what the MEC is telling us. Personally, other than more overall DAL mainline flying, the 717's don't mean squat to me anyway unless the airline gets cut in half. BTW: How many loopholes and scope inefficiencies do you think are in the contract we have now?
If I hear how "the world is in turmoil" again I'm going to vomit. There will always be global strife. We are living through the biggest economic shift in history. Wealth is moving up the food chain. ALPA has decidedly placed the piloting profession with the other losers in the economy, instead of where it belongs---with the doctors, lawyers, national union reps...and other professions. This TA cements that position.
Where I live, they are building 4 million dollar homes like there is no tomorrow. Our airplanes are record full, and not with 99 dollar fare sales-- those people have to drive now. The world has changed. ALPA national knows it, and they are securing their positions at the table by ensuring a cozy relationship with the corporations. We will be left far behind. This TA is the biggest, bald-faced sell out in history. There won't be a 'next time'.

Ferd, where did your Yoda analogy go? Good one it was.
BTW, Newk would've just pulled his X-Wing fighter out of the swap on his own, screw that little green alien and his stupid mind games.
