He didn't say he was on reserve. He said he was working 16 days in July, which means (okay maybe vacation, MLOA, etc) he is a REG pilot who will get DPA.

What exactly was wrong about my post?

The other work groups that received raises will be working more.

Not an Apple hater (in fact I may have to buy an iPad for the convenience of the new electronic pubs) but on my Android phone my alternative keyboard allows me to delete the auto corrects that I don't like and continues to learn from my writing styles. Just couldn't get into the Apple iPhone (didn't think much of WP7 either).

They won't be able to force you over your 84 hour line, even at the highest ALV of the year. DPA doesn't change under the TA. ADG is added for the rare 88 day with a DH only. How exactly will you be working more that you currently are? Also, you'll be paid more than 20% more (88 guys get the extra bump to 90 pay) for that 84 hours in 2.5 years.

Here's a simple math exercise:

84 hour line at $100.14/hr (5 year 88 FO - current contract) = $8,411.76

84 hour line at $123.36/hr (still 5 year 88 FO - TA on 1/1/2015) = $10,362.24

I didn't include longevity steps for this pilot to keep it apples-to-apples. The difference = $1950.48/month

So you will be working the same number of days (to get the same monthly line) for nearly an extra $2000/month in 2.5 years. This is on the 2nd smallest paying aircraft we have.

I'm still failing to see what you're concerned with?? If you want to work a little less, then bid a lower time line - same as today.
Obviously, you don't live and work at LAX. You show me a line (except maybe a few super senior guys) that has a line that averages 5:15/day (especially with those wonderful 10:30 3 days). So, your numbers are a delusion for me.

Very well. You make an excellent point. I was specifically thinking about an M88B as the OP said he was. The 88 doesn't have as many (any) of the crappy 10:30 3-days that you guys do. My oversight, and I feel your pain.

Many of the LAX trips won't qualify for the ADG either as they report after 22:00. This is a huge negative in the TA and I freely admit they should not have been cut out. Most of the other bases will see nearly a 30% increase in credit on those crappy 3 days though, so for plenty of pilots this will result in less days worked.

On the other hand, your schedule won't be any worse than it currently is (small consolation I know, ha) as the OP was asserting. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been fighting it, but time is turning me ATL-centric

Again, dispute my math if you can. How does that result in similar w2's? I see a 5 year 88 FO making nearly 25k more/year using the assumptions I listed above. Bigger aircraft/seats will see similar or better results. Reserve pilots benefit even more. How does voting NO provide for more (not just talking about $)?
Why don't you take a look at the LAX B lines. Almost everyone is working 14-18 days a month. And in comparison to SWA (which by the way still has line of time bidding (no PBS), trips touching for vacation, 150% for their equivalent of white slips) the average F/O works 12-13 days/month for their $130K/year and we're still not even close to their contract in 2015 (without any pay increases to their current contract). And oh by the way, they have some 12 year Captains (I know they're probably going to stagnate going forward but we're talking about today). I still don't (even in the most optimistic scenario that YES advocates are talking about), as a 2000 hire, expect to make Captain at DAL before I retire in 10 years - that is 22 years as a Delta First Officer when I was told at my interview that "Delta hires Captains" - I guess they don't need many Captains anymore (or you need to get hired at 30 to make Captain at DAL). This contract doesn't come close to the supposed goal of SWA+ and don't tell me that this is the best we can do and be happy about it - we lost all our leverage when the NC agreed to a TA and sent it to the MEC - once the company got that I believe any chance of improvements was lost. I believe we were fed a line by Tim O and the MEC when they said if we couldn't get a contract that met our goals we would resort to the traditional route - they admitted that this fell short in a number of areas and they agreed to it any way.

Sure T-bagger

Except the original offer still stands.

If I may refresh your recollection. That offer was made well over a week ago and you wanted to modify it to over 10 x the original amount along with some obscure metrosexual sounding rare Italian liquor that you happen to procure only on your Rome layovers.

Even though a week has passed, and by nature you'd have to sit on your hands and color for only two weeks now instead of three, I still say your self inflated ego ego will seek more validation and you won't be able to do it

So, my offer of $100 and a case of beer or $30 dollars in lieu of that if you want to put it towards your special cordial or aperitif or whatever it is that tickles you, great.

As an FO with kids and family and a retirement I am still trying to re-fund, that is all I can afford on this post bankruptcy era pay we are on. Did I forget saving for college.

Just tell ACL if you except. My guess is, particularly now, your ego coupled with the superciliousness that oozes from you won't allow you to do it. You really hate it when folks question your preemninence and in your mind don't pay distinction to your rank(s).

Did the zoo or the boy scouts do that to you?

First of all... T-bagger is extremely offensive.

You're on.. I will PM ACL. He will tell you where to send the $130 check.

Funny that you complain about being poor, yet you will vote away a 20% pay increase... must not be too broke.

But I can stand on my head for 2 weeks easy...

C ya.. after I sign off today, I won't be back until the vote is over.
