Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
When did they say that? I asked my Rep and the only reason to get it done prior to July, was so the pay rates and reserve guarantee could go into effect for July.
None of them have mentioned any sort of "company deadline" of July 1.
I think the voting opens around the 14th and will close on the 29th.

Delta has invested $65 million in SkyTeam partner Aeroméxico, the flagship carrier of Mexico, in return for a 4% stake in the company, Delta said in a press release.
The deal is significant because it marks the first time a global carrier has bought a stake in a national Mexican airline. The agreement creates the leading airline alliance between Mexico and the U.S. Delta will receive nearly 3.2 million shares and a seat on the Aeroméxico Board of Directors as part of the deal.
“The benefits of connectivity and strength are of great value to our customers worldwide,” Richard said. “This agreement also represents a new stage in a key relationship, which we have been developing for years.”
The carriers collectively offer 93 codeshare destinations and transport more than five million passengers each year on those routes, which represent 733 daily flights in eight countries.
They will share best practices in sales, operations, equipment maintenance and staff training, enabling them to offer customers the same travel experience on any of their flights.
Seems DAL can afford to invest in everything but us

FIIGMO says that's an emotional vote (despite the many such as myself who have come to the same conclusion using pure logic). You sure you can live with that?
You know, it's not really a collaborative process when one side invents a deadline and basically presents a 'take it or leave it' package in terms of overall cost to the company. That goes for both DALPA and the company.
If RA were to call me today and discuss the reasons why he wants this contract (and I know he's involved, the guy's a micro manager in the good sense of that term) I'd be more than willing to listen to him, it might even change my mind, especially if he could make some sort of commitment to better compensation and career opportunities down the road. RA is the type of guy I'd actually give some heed to if he were to take the time to get involved. But I understand that a CEO would probably think twice about participating in the process at that level, it might even backfire.
And on the other side, if DALPA could somehow find a way to honestly convince me that it has MY best interests in mind, that the officers of the union really believe in what they are doing and that they really expect to live under the terms themselves for the duration, then I'd be more willing to consider voting yes.
But from what I've seen during my tenure at DL, this is just more of the same. I don't expect the majority of DALPA guys to have to deal with the more onerous aspects of the contract since they will be able to drop trips and use special privledges to pick up open time, not to say anything of the guys at the MEC level and above and their agenda... this TA smacks too much of more of the same from them, and I made a promise to myself "no more." I'll vote yes on anything that raises my pay to SWA levels tomorrow, puts an immediate stop to scope erosion, and restores my work rules to something that resembles a successful and productive airline without forcing me to work 17 days and 83 hours a month every month until I quit or get an office job.
