I do have a car, but don't want much more than a 30 minute drive.
If you're not too dependent on some night life, and our looking for safety and security, go west not east. The Peachtree City area is essentially where most of the Delta families live. Its safe, no crime, and reasonably affordable. If you live toward the north end of Peachtree City you're looking at about a 30 minute drive. If you go east toward and into the city, prices and crime rise exponentially. Another option would be to go north of 285, but thats a longer commute with traffic. If you're looking for nightlife, the Buckhead area is the place to be. But there's crime there as well. I lived in PTC for 5 years when I was ATL-based and I liked the town. But its vanilla, no frills.

Has anybody mentioned Newnan yet? You can get a nice 3 bedroom there for about $1100, maybe $1200. Maybe cheaper, I can't remember. I have some friends who live down there, the nightlife isn't city-like, but they have a Taco Mac and a waffle house... good times.

I was gonna mention until you did again that it was for an internship as you stated earlier. Some crashpads will accomodate interns, but you'll have to let them know that you'll be living there full time. Some will not go for that. What dates are you looking?

On a side note, the fact that college park is mentioned in about half of the new rap songs should be proof of the kind of area it is. Funny story, my roomate just had me listen to a rap song the other day that references Spondivits for all of you that are familiar. Great area and restaurant

It was a 25 minute walk from the HQ and a easy 5 minute drive.
...and a 10 minute run for your life...(you walked?)

JK...but seriously, don't walk back from the training center at night. That is a dangerous area after dark even though the area has improved slightly in the past few years.

Hahaha!! I read this thread from the start and was wondering why all these interns were looking for housing now! Why are we bringing in these interns with everything going on. I figured out how old this thread was 3 posts ago. Good thing I didn’t have anything better to do, or I’d be angry with myself.
