There is a website/form that’s been set up for you to claim those for reimbursement.

This is a board for and about Delta pilots. You are welcome to be here but did you really not expect Delta pilots on a Delta board to not discuss how this affected Delta pilots and what they would like?

Here’s what I think our compensation should include:

1. accountability for the meltdown from management and a commitment to modernize our IT. This is #1 for me. Constantly trying to blame Crowdstrike is unacceptable in my opinion. Other airlines recovered immediately. We didn’t. I think IT is the reason why and we need to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

2. write off the expense of the meltdown as a 1 time write off so it doesn’t factor into our profit sharing. It’s not our fault this meltdown occurred and our profit sharing shouldn’t suffer because of it.

3. Positive space tickets. I think 2 round trip tickets or 4 one way tickets would be acceptable.

anything I’m missing?
Agreed but unlikely. 3 is highly possible as there is past precedent. I’d be seriously impressed if they did 2, but I doubt they will. They have been promising 1 since I’ve been here and no luck yet. This is all distressingly familiar and probably will be again in a few years time.

PCS? The thing that processes pot swaps and slips and stuff? It's not that special, it basically runs a bunch of yes/no checks and then shifts some trips around. PBS is impressive, as is whatever they use to build rotations.

I think we'll be lucky to see a couple + space tickets. And I could care less about this "perk" as the LAST places I want to be on a day off is on an airplane or anywhere near "The ATL".
I got a nice chunk of EDP and RR pay. If they agree to pay for my long LYFT ride I'll be satisfied.

Why wouldn’t they? That should be automatic.

Postive space tickets are great for international vacationing.

Never expire (even into retirement), can book way in advance, etc.

I love 'em. Not everyone is able to ride the gravy train during IROPS.

just my hot take: the public optics of Delta giving out compensation/rewards to employees because of the crowdstrike meltdown will NOT result in more love for Delta from the traveling public.
If Delta is going to go this route, which they have in the past, I think they should delay the reward/compensation announcement until this whole mess is forgotten as "last weeks" news.

Most of our customers that I've seen talking about the meltdown on Reddit have been very supportive/appreciative of the front line employees. I don't think they would mind if Delta threw us some reward, it might even lift their opinion of Delta.
