Default IT outage

Please tell me more about how these dorks are going to build pilotless planes. Boeing going to build them and Clownstrike, err sorry Cloudstroke… whoops I meant CrowdStrike is going to do the software. They’re going to run on AI generated fuel paid for by Bitcoin.

Just as soon as autonomous rideshare cars stop eliminating pedestrians and stopping randomly for extended periods at intersections (recently witnessed a robot car doing just that in Scottsdale), start the timer. I give it two human generations. But by that time the tall order will be reassembly of people's cell structure, as they sort out Star Trek-stlye transporters. "Beam me to New Delhi," no First Class amenities required as your atoms scramble across time and the globe. Citing an old Dolph Lundgren quote, "you go in pieces."

every time one of these meltdowns happen, I smile, knowing I have just secured more job security.

well they are using the original Atari 2600 game console technology. Sounds like time for an upgrade . No reason to criticize Southwest anymore 😂😂

Ironic that the airline criticized for lack of IT (SWA) somehow was not crippled by this Crowdstrike IT fiasco.

What does it mean that Delta is doubling the lead of the next closest competitor for flight cancellations today?

Probably that it came on the heels of a major weather IROP in ATL yesterday afternoon/evening. This morning was IROP recovery which completely dissolved with the IT outage.

How about a couple spirit passes for the effort? Well, not mine. But I’m sure those working today are getting abused.

Looks like DL is performing far worse than competitors with this recovery. Maybe it’s time for more pilot bases outside the mothership, that alone is contributing to Delta handling this recovery so poorly. Over half the pilots are commuters… invest in our IT systems too. For being “the best airline”, this doesn’t seem like it.
