“Set aside”, but calculated by the year. PWA 3.I.
one-time charges are excluded from PS calculations, I wonder how this mess will be characterized. Probably not a one time charge, but even worse, the lasting customer effects and near term book-aways that will be a slow burn to delta and PS.
[edit, I see others beat me to the answer]

Ah OK, that makes sense. One of the many reasons I treat PS as found money.
Anyone happen to remember what any one of the meltdowns we've had in the last decade has cost us? The transformer fire meltdown was pretty bad as well. This meltdown really shows that DAL leadership is more willing to pay for these random meltdown, rather than put things into place that would help mitigate the wheels falling off the track when things go wrong.

Hey coheart, I was part of the Christmas meltdown too. I just came over to see how things were looking on the DAL side. Turns out, surprising similar to how things looked at LUV a year and a half ago. I can already imagine the screaming that will be coming from the ranks when Ed Bastian and the C-suite award themselves performance bonuses at the end of the year.

Great reason not to crap on other airlines for their meltdowns. Having worked through a handful of meltdowns here, it's just a matter of time until it's our time in the barrel. Not much has changed since all of the previous meltdowns where they promised to fix things and the favorite prmoise to "not run hot" again.
